Tuyên Quang authorities charge contractor in fatal labor safety violation

Police in Tuyên Quang have initiated criminal proceedings against contractor Hoàng Kim Trường for violating labor safety regulations. The investigation follows an incident on June 16 where Trường mobilized workers to recover old electrical wires at a substation without an approved work schedule.

Due to a lack of supervision and failure to provide necessary safety conditions, a worker, identified as H. V. T., fell from a utility pole. The worker sustained a traumatic brain injury and subsequently died. Authorities have imposed a travel ban on Trường while the investigation continues.
