Tuyên Quang police detain Nguyễn Thanh Dung for real estate fraud

The Tuyên Quang Provincial Police have issued a decision to prosecute and a temporary detention warrant for Nguyễn Thanh Dung, born in 1991, on charges of ‘fraudulent appropriation of property’ under Article 174 of the Penal Code.

According to investigative documents, Dung allegedly provided false information claiming to own real estate available for transfer. This deception led multiple victims to believe the claims were legitimate and pay money as deposits for the property. Authorities have initially determined that Dung misappropriated 400 million VND through this method. The investigation is currently being expanded.
