Tuyết Thu returns to cinema in film ‘Lên Hương’

Meritorious Artist Tuyết Thu is returning to the silver screen in the film ‘Lên Hương’, playing the role of Mrs. Lan. The actress, who portrays a mother deeply devoted to her son, noted that the role required a profound internal dialogue to capture the character's essence.

Addressing her recent absence from major film projects, Tuyết Thu explained that she was not retiring but rather waiting for suitable roles that resonated with her rather than projects designed solely for ticket sales. She noted that while the film market has grown significantly in the last two years, the competition among actors remains high.

She cited director Khương Ngọc as a primary reason for accepting the role. Tuyết Thu expressed admiration for Ngọc’s unique and meticulous directing style, stating she had been observing his work and hoped for an opportunity to collaborate before receiving the invitation.
