Tuzla Canton allocates 30 million KM for water projects without public call

The Tuzla Canton government has allocated 40 million KM in credit funds for water supply projects, but the distribution of 30 million KM has raised concerns regarding transparency. Unlike other water fee funds that utilize public calls and published ranking lists, these credit funds were distributed without a public call or publicly available criteria for determining recipients and amounts.

Of the total 40 million KM, 10 million KM was previously approved for Živinice through a separate procedure to reduce water network losses and improve stability. The remaining 30 million KM was distributed in April to several municipalities: Tuzla (7 million KM), Gradačac (6.9 million KM), Lukavac (5.3 million KM), Srebrenik (2.5 million KM), Kladanj (2.1 million KM), Gračanica, Kalesija, and Sapna (2 million KM each), and Doboj Istok (200,000 KM).
