Tuzla Canton launches first public transport control center in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Transport of Tuzla Canton has officially launched a new control center for public line transport. According to Minister Almir Žilić, this is the first facility of its kind in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The center utilizes GPS systems and advanced software to monitor 16 cantonal lines in real time. This technology allows officials to track vehicle departures, arrivals, and any transit issues. Additionally, the system will monitor kilometers traveled, ticket sales, passenger numbers, and the operational necessity of specific routes to ensure carriers meet their contractual obligations.

This launch is part of a broader systemic reorganization of public transport in the Tuzla Canton. Starting June 15, 2026, a new model will be implemented, introducing a unified system of pricing, zones, and subscription tickets across the entire canton.
