Tuzla Municipality Launches First Full‑Time Day Care Center

The Tuzla district municipality is opening its first full‑time daytime care centre, the Tuzla Akademi Ecz. Melahat Oğuzbeyi Gündüz Bakımevi, located on Deha Street in Evliya Çelebi neighbourhood. Pre‑registration for families will be accepted from 3 to 14 August via the municipality’s education portal, with the centre slated to begin operations in September.

The facility will serve children aged 36–69 months, offering a curriculum based on the Ministry of National Education’s preschool programme and a play‑based learning approach. Daily hours are 08:30‑17:00, providing three meals each day. Class sizes are limited to 15 children for the three‑year‑old group and 20 for four‑ and five‑year‑olds. Tuzla Mayor Av. Eren Ali Bingöl highlighted the centre’s role in supporting children’s social and emotional development and easing parents’ daily routines.
