Tuzla roof fire spreads to neighboring building, no injuries reported

A fire broke out on the roof of a four‑storey residential building in the Evliya Çelebi neighbourhood of Tuzla, Istanbul, at around 16:30 local time. Strong wind caused the flames to jump to the roof of the adjacent building.

Firefighters, police and health teams were dispatched, and the blaze was brought under control after roughly one hour of intervention. No deaths or injuries were reported, though material damage affected the roofs of both buildings. Residents rescued two cats and moved nearby vehicles to safety. The cause of the fire remains unknown and is under investigation.
