The Brazilian National Congress held a solemn session to honor TV Asa Branca for its 35th anniversary. Founded in 1991 in Caruaru, Pernambuco, the Rede Globo affiliate was recognized for its role in decentralizing media production and providing coverage to the Agreste, Sertão, and Zona da Mata regions.

Senator Humberto Costa and Deputy Fernando Monteiro proposed the tribute, noting that the broadcaster reaches over 100 municipalities with an audience exceeding 3 million people. Officials highlighted the station's contribution to regional economic development and its commitment to local culture and identity.

Co-founder Vicente Jorge Espínola, who established the station alongside the late Luiz de França Leite, emphasized the mission of providing quality journalism and a platform for local traditions. The event was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Communications, the Brazilian Association of Radio and Television Broadcasters (ABERT), and local municipal leaders.
