TV Asahi drama “Big Airport – GATE24” airs with historic customs‑Immigration joint poster

The Japanese television series "Big Airport – GATE24" premiered on TV Asahi on July 23, 2026. The drama follows a newly formed special unit, GATE24 (Global Airport Task Enforcement), created under the Cabinet Office to combat sophisticated international crime at Japan’s airports, including smuggling, forged passports, human trafficking and terrorism. The cast features Shuri as customs officer Mori Manabi, alongside actors such as Gōma Maki, Riko Itagaki and Keichiro Hayami.

In a first‑of‑its‑kind collaboration, the show released a joint promotional poster co‑branded with Japan’s Customs and the Immigration Services Agency. The poster, unveiled ahead of the second episode on July 30, emphasizes the agencies’ real‑world role in safeguarding people and goods at the nation’s borders, mirroring the series’ storyline.
