TV Azteca plans anchor reshuffle, Manuel López San Martín as Javier Alatorre successor

Journalist Ana María Alvarado reported that TV Azteca is preparing a restructuring of its morning news programming. The proposed changes would place Romina Ramos and Leo Arriaga as hosts of the 5:50 a.m. show Primera Línea, keep Jorge Zarza on Hechos AM at 7:00 a.m., and have Manuel López San Martín co‑anchor the 8:00 a.m. slot with Christian Lara.

The reports also suggest that López San Martín is being groomed as the eventual replacement for veteran anchor Javier Alatorre on the flagship evening newscast Hechos Noche. TV Azteca has not yet issued an official statement confirming any of the changes.
