TV Brasil celebrates 76 years of Brazilian television
The program ‘Sem Censura’ on TV Brasil is hosting a special edition to celebrate the 76th anniversary of Brazilian television. The anniversary commemorates the 1950 inauguration of TV Tupi in São Paulo by journalist Assis Chateaubriand.
Host Cissa Guimarães will interview a panel of prominent figures, including television directors Boni and Boninho, and actress Lilia Cabral. Boni, a 90-year-old industry veteran, will discuss the evolution of programming and audiovisual trends. Boninho will share insights from his four-decade career, including his work on major reality formats like ‘BBB’ and ‘No Limite,’ while addressing the challenges of the digital era. Lilia Cabral will reflect on her career across television, cinema, and theater.
The studio audience for this special broadcast will consist of communication students from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV).
