TV Brasil launches Economia e Futuro program

TV Brasil has premiered a new original program titled ‘Economia e Futuro’, produced in partnership with the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES). Hosted by journalist Luciana Barreto, the series focuses on economic challenges, innovation, and global development.

The debut episode centers on the theme of energy transition. It features a debate between Aloizio Mercadante, president of BNDES, and William Nozaki, Executive Director of Integrated Energy Transition Management at Petrobras. The discussion covers strategies to combat climate change, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, the replacement of fossil fuels, the search for strategic minerals, and the potential of green hydrogen.

The program aims to connect complex economic and technological topics—such as artificial intelligence and changes in the labor market—to their practical impacts on daily life, including urban development and public transportation. The series is available via broadcast, cable, and the TV Brasil Play platform.
