TV Brasil wins Sebrae Journalism Award for report on disability entrepreneurship

TV Brasil's program Caminhos da Reportagem has won the district stage of the Sebrae Journalism Award (PSJ) in the Video category for the third consecutive year. The winning report, authored by journalist Marieta Cazarré, explores entrepreneurship as a tool for autonomy and dignity for people with disabilities, a demographic comprising over 14 million citizens in Brazil.

The production, created by the Empresa Brasil de Comunicação (EBC), highlights how innovation can arise from personal needs and market gaps while addressing systemic obstacles such as structural ableism and inadequate urban and educational infrastructure.

Antonia Pellegrino, President of EBC, noted that the achievement reflects the broadcaster's commitment to quality public journalism that remains attentive to diversity and transformative social stories. Following the conclusion of the district stage, winners will advance to the regional stage of the 2026 awards, with top entries moving toward the national phase.
