TÜV data reveals brake and suspension issues in heavy electric vehicles
Data from 9.5 million technical inspections conducted by the German organization TÜV reveal that heavy electric vehicles are increasingly facing issues with brakes and suspensions after approximately three years of operation.
The report highlights a concerning trend in the deteriorating condition of the vehicle fleet. Approximately 21.5% of inspected vehicles failed with serious or dangerous defects. The data shows that as vehicle age increases, the risk of failure rises significantly: while about 10% of five-year-old cars fail inspection, nearly 25% of eleven-year-old vehicles and almost one-third of fifteen-year-old vehicles do not pass.
