TV Globo actors discuss upcoming roles in new telenovelas

Actors Marcelo Medici and Suzy Lopes have shared details regarding their upcoming roles in new TV Globo productions.

Marcelo Medici will transition from his previous roles as a priest and a cangaceiro to play a drag queen father in the upcoming seven o'clock soap opera ‘Elas que Lutem’, written by Daniel Ortiz. Medici noted that the character is significantly different from his previous role, Viriato, and expressed interest in the pop art of drag culture.

In the production ‘Lá Na Minha Terra’, Suzy Lopes will portray Josélia, a character described as grounded and family-oriented, contrasting with her previous role, Cira. Actor Daniel de Oliveira will play Heraldo, a man of strong morals, which serves as a departure from his previous character, Floro, who was characterized as a ‘fun bandit’. The cast also includes Castorine as Marleide and Nina Tomsic as Lucijane.
