TV Globo considers host changes for Altas Horas

TV Globo is considering a change to the production model of the variety show ‘Altas Horas’. Currently, host Serginho Groisman has traditionally managed his own absences by providing pre-recorded content. However, the network is planning to discuss a new approach with Groisman that would involve using substitute hosts during his vacation periods. This shift aims to ensure the program features more current, factual content to better drive engagement on digital platforms.

Internal planning reportedly identifies Rodrigo Faro as a potential candidate to step in during Groisman’s absences. If implemented, this would mark the first time a substitute host takes over the program during the titular host's leave.

In recent programming, ‘Altas Horas’ featured a special samba episode showcasing artists Alcione, Jorge Aragão, and Zeca Pagodinho. The special highlighted the trio’s musical careers and included performances from their joint tour, ‘O Maior Encontro do Samba’.
