TV Globo Re-edits 'Quem Ama Cuida' After Lawyers' Association Legal Challenge

TV Globo altered episodes of the prime‑time telenovela ‘Quem Ama Cuida’ after receiving an extrajudicial notice from the Associação dos Advogados de São Paulo (AASP). The association objected to the display of its name and logo in a storyline that depicts a sexual‑assault scenario involving characters Adriana (Letícia Colin), lawyer Ademir (Dan Stulbach) and Suely (Julia Stockler).

In response, Globo removed the AASP branding from the contested scene, replaced the original chapter on its streaming platform Globoplay with an edited version, and withdrew promotional material that referenced the association. The network has not commented publicly on the matter. Future broadcasts of the storyline will proceed without any real‑world institutional references.
