TV Globo soap opera features song by artists from Monteiro

The song ‘Seu Olhar Não Mente’, composed by Ilmar Cavalcanti and Nanado Alves from Monteiro in the Cariri Paraibano region, will be featured in the soundtrack of TV Globo’s new soap opera, ‘A Nobreza do Amor’.

The track will be performed by the singer and accordionist Mestrinho. The song has previously been interpreted by notable Brazilian artists such as Elba Ramalho and Flávio José. The inclusion of this work in a major television production provides national exposure for the regional music of Northeastern Brazil.
