TV Globo to broadcast British comedy ‘Patrick’ on Sessão da Tarde

The British comedy film ‘Patrick’ is scheduled to air on TV Globo’s ‘Sessão da Tarde’ this Monday at 15:45, following the broadcast of ‘Roque Santeiro’.

Released in 2018 and starring Beattie Edmondson, the film follows Sarah Francis, a young woman struggling with her personal life and relationships. Her routine is disrupted when she inherits a pampered pug named Patrick from her late grandmother. The story explores themes of adaptation and new beginnings as Sarah navigates the challenges and humorous situations caused by the mischievous dog.

Critical reception for the film was mixed. Reviews from The Guardian noted the cast's talent but suggested the script did not fully realize the story's comedic potential, with some critics noting similarities to other dog-centric romantic comedies.
