During the pre‑match press conference of Morocco’s midfielder Brahim Díaz on the eve of the World Cup quarter‑final against France in Boston, TV Globo reporter Marcelo Courrege was confronted by a Moroccan journalist who repeatedly raised his arm, obstructing the camera. Courrege asked the reporter to stop; the journalist shouted, grabbed Courrege’s arm and the two exchanged heated words in French. The altercation was captured on video, caused a brief interruption of the conference and was quickly relayed on social media. FIFA officials intervened, the journalists were separated and the press conference resumed.
