TV Markíza to broadcast solar eclipse live from Lomnický štít

TV Markíza is preparing a special live broadcast to cover a partial solar eclipse on Wednesday, August 12. The coverage, hosted by TN live, will span over three hours from 17:00 to approximately 20:30.

To provide a unique perspective, the network is establishing an external studio at Lomnický štít, located at an altitude of over 2,600 meters. The program will feature expert commentary, including Peter Gömöry, director of the Astronomical Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, and astronomy popularizer Marián Psár. The broadcast aims to combine scientific explanation with live reports from various locations across Slovakia.
