Improper lighting can lead to fines or points on a driving license. Additionally, drivers should maintain windshield wipers and ensure windshields are clean to prevent glare.

Seasonal maintenance is also advised. This includes preparing for colder temperatures by considering winter tire changes—often recommended when temperatures consistently drop below seven degrees Celsius—and ensuring appropriate antifreeze is in the windshield washer fluid.

Regarding technology, Lidl is offering a discounted price on the Ooono Co-Driver No. 1, a device that warns of hazards and obstacles. However, users are cautioned that under German law (§ 23 StVO), using devices specifically to warn of speed enforcement while driving is prohibited and can result in fines and device confiscation.
