TÜV SÜD and QuantPi partner for secure AI certification

TÜV SÜD and QuantPi have entered into a partnership to collaborate on the testing and evaluation of artificial intelligence systems. QuantPi will serve as TÜV SÜD’s first global CARAT partner laboratory, contributing technology designed for statistically secured AI testing.

The collaboration aims to provide structured, traceable test evidence for the conformity assessment and certification of AI-based products, with a specific focus on Physical AI and autonomous machinery. This development responds to increasing regulatory requirements, such as the EU AI Act and the new Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230, which mandate that manufacturers prove the reliability of AI when used as a safety component.

By utilizing the QuantPi platform, the partnership seeks to move beyond simple benchmark values toward providing quantifiable and reproducible statements regarding AI performance through statistical guarantees and defined confidence limits.
