TÜV SÜD opens Global Decarbonisation Centre of Excellence in Singapore

TÜV SÜD has launched a new Global Decarbonisation Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Singapore. The facility is designed to strengthen the infrastructure required for carbon market integrity and to accelerate digital carbon verification.

This initiative follows the company’s recent acquisition of SustainCERT, a Luxembourg-based accredited Validation and Verification Body specializing in digital Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (dMRV). By integrating digital innovation with its existing testing, inspection, and certification expertise, TÜV SÜD aims to support the operationalization of global carbon markets in alignment with Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.

CEO and Chairman of the Board Patrick Vollmer stated that the center aims to provide governments, businesses, and investors with credible, transparent, and independently assured emissions reduction data to drive decarbonization efforts across Asia and globally.
