TV Signal Restored in Ribera de Arriba after Three-Day Storm Outage

A storm on Saturday damaged the electrical supply to the repeater that serves the villages of Bueño, Soto de Rey and Palomar in the municipality of Ribera de Arriba. The outage left households without television for three days, highlighting long‑standing coverage problems in the area.

The regional authorities replaced the faulty component of the repeater on Tuesday afternoon, and the signal was restored shortly after 2:30 p.m. Mayor Tomás Fernández said the repair could not be completed earlier because the replacement part had to be delivered first. The incident was handled by the autonomous government rather than the local council, as the installation is outside municipal responsibility.
