TV Tokyo announces Anime Week programming lineup
TV Tokyo has announced ‘TV Tokyo Anime Week,’ a special programming event running from September 28 to October 4. The week features various collaborations between popular variety shows and anime content, including special segments on ‘Oha Suta,’ ‘Kaiun! Nandemo Kanteidan,’ and ‘Ad Machi Tekoku.’
A highlight of the week is the second installment of the variety program ‘Anime ga Chikyu wo Kutteiru’ (Anime is Eating the Earth), hosted by Kento Nakajima, airing on September 29. The program will consist of two parts: the first will feature interviews with anime enthusiasts from around the world, while the second part will be a special dedicated to ‘Yu-Gi-Oh!.’ This special segment will explore the global appeal of the franchise by visiting a card game world tournament held in August 2026.
In addition to television broadcasts, TV Tokyo will implement large-scale outdoor promotional activities in the Shibuya and Shinjuku areas of Tokyo, including the distribution of promotional drinks and stickers, as well as street decorations to mark the event.
