TV Tokyo to broadcast Showa vs Reiwa music special

TV Tokyo will broadcast a special music program titled ‘Showa vs Reiwa! 100 Strongest Hit Songs Loved Across Generations’ on September 24. The program features various musical rankings selected by 10,000 people from the Reiwa generation and the Showa generation, covering categories such as debut songs, duets, youth songs, and cheering songs.

Featured performers include Yoko Oginome, who will make her television debut performing Miyuki Nakajima’s ballad ‘Jidai’, Ryuugen Toshi, Kaname Kawabata, Ryuhei Maruyama, and others. The special includes several collaborative performances, such as a duet of ‘Dancing Hero (Eat You Up)’ by Yoko Oginome and First Summer Uika, and a cover of ‘Natsuiro’ by Ryuugen Toshi and Ryuhei Maruyama. Additionally, the group KaWang, which includes Shinnosuke Kimoto, will perform a cover of ‘YOUNG MAN (Y. M. C. A.)’.
