TV Tokyo to rebroadcast Keigo Higashino drama ‘Letter’ on Aug 6

TV Tokyo announced a repeat broadcast of the drama special “Letter”, based on Keigo Higashino’s novel, on August 6 at 20:50. The program originally aired on December 19 2018 and the rebroadcast follows the author’s death on July 23, serving as a tribute.

The series stars Kamenashi Kazuya as Naoki Takejima and Ryuta Sato as his incarcerated brother Goushi, with supporting cast including Honda Tsubasa, Hirose Alice, Nakamura Tomoya and others. It contrasts handwritten letters from prison with modern social‑media communication, exploring themes of family, love, discrimination and human bonds. A scheduled program was postponed to make way for the special.
