TÜV-Verband launches podcast on technical plant safety

The TÜV-Verband has launched its first podcast series, titled ‘TÜV Reportcast’, focusing on the safety and resilience of technical plants. The inaugural season consists of four episodes addressing various aspects of industrial and public safety.

Key topics include explosion protection at gas stations, aircraft refueling systems, and gas filling plants, as well as the safety of elevators and pressure systems. The series explores how digitalization and increased connectivity are changing the operational security of technical installations and introducing new risks.

The podcast is based on the association’s annual plant safety report, which evaluates approximately 1.1 million legally required inspections to identify technical deficiencies and safety trends. Experts discuss the mechanisms that trigger during emergencies and the evolving threat landscape facing critical infrastructure.
