Hungarian television features new reality show seasons and talent competitions

Hungarian television is seeing a surge in reality and talent competition programming. TV2 is launching a new season of ‘Sztárban Sztár’, where 12 singers will perform impersonations of famous artists such as Amy Winehouse, Shakira, and Tom Jones.

Meanwhile, RTL’s jungle reality show ‘Celeb vagyok, ments ki innen!’ is experiencing internal tension, including heated arguments regarding hygiene and contestant behavior. The show faces stiff competition in viewership from TV2’s ‘Megasztár’, which features rising talents like 16-year-old singer Roxána Helfy.

In other news, the Békéscsaba Jókai Theatre has unveiled a new accessible studio theater and announced its 2026-2027 season lineup, featuring both contemporary Hungarian drama and musical productions.
