TV2 to premiere thriller series ‘Keselyű’ inspired by radio personality

TV2 is set to premiere a new four-part thriller miniseries titled ‘Keselyű’ on October 17. Based on the successful book by Zoltán Nagy, the series follows Zalán Szigethy, a popular and highly successful morning radio host with a seemingly perfect family life.

The plot centers on a serial killer who targets those closest to the host, announcing upcoming crimes by calling into live radio broadcasts and reciting classical Hungarian poetry. The series is described as having a Scandinavian-style atmosphere, blending tension with dark humor.

During a press event, showrunner Péter Pierre Hermann revealed that the protagonist was intentionally modeled after radio personality Balázs Sebestyén, specifically drawing on his controversial public persona from the early 2000s to add a layer of realism to the character.
