TVer launches actor special as new drama ‘Ore-tachi no Hakone Ekiden’ nears premiere

The streaming service TVer has launched a special actor feature, offering free streaming of approximately 25 works from six prominent Japanese actors: Yo Oizumi, Shun Oguri, Mone Kamishiraishi, Mahiro Takasugi, Anne Nakamura, and Ryusei Yokohama. The collection includes various popular titles such as ‘Haken no Hinkaku’ and ‘Koi wa Tsuzukuyo Dokomademo’.

In conjunction with these features, TVer has expanded its ‘Masterpiece Drama Special’ lineup with several new additions. To encourage viewership, the platform is running a campaign where users can win Amazon gift cards by completing certain drama series.

Additionally, a premiere screening was held for the upcoming Nippon TV drama ‘Ore-tachi no Hakone Ekiden’, based on the novel by Jun Ikeido. Starring Yo Oizumi as a television producer and Tomohisa Yamashita as a university track coach, the series depicts the struggles of a sports broadcasting crew and a university athletics team aiming for the Hakone Ekiden. The drama is scheduled to begin broadcasting on October 10.
