TVer launches TVer ID payment feature for partner services

TVer and Fuji Television have launched a new payment functionality called ‘TVer ID Payment,’ which allows users to pay for products and services from partner companies using their TVer ID. The service officially commenced on October 22.

As the first implementation, the feature is available for eligible plans on FOD, a video streaming service operated by Fuji Television. Users can complete transactions easily by using credit card information already registered to their TVer ID.

Under this model, partner businesses remain responsible for sales and contract management, while TVer provides the payment infrastructure and handles advertising and user redirection within its platform. TVer stated that this feature does not turn its free content into paid content, nor does it unlock new paid functions within the TVer app itself. The company plans to expand the range of compatible products and services by strengthening cooperation with broadcasters and content providers.
