TVK appoints former AIADMK ministers and Sandeep Anand to leadership roles
Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president C. Joseph Vijay has appointed several high-profile leaders to deputy general secretary positions to strengthen the party’s organizational structure. Among the new appointees are 11 former ministers from the AIADMK, including Kadambur Raju, Vellamandi N Natarajan, and MSM Anandan.
Additionally, Dr. J. Sandeep Anand, son of former Union Minister and DMK MP Jagathrakshakan, has been appointed as deputy general secretary. This move is viewed as a strategic effort to expand the party’s influence in northern Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, particularly among the Vanniyar community.
Other appointees include KG Muthu Venkateswaran, Thollamur Kannan, and VCR Kumaran. Former MLA C. Mahendran has been named secretary of the Tirupur Rural South district. Vijay has called on party cadres to cooperate with the new office-bearers as the party seeks to attract leaders from established political groups ahead of upcoming elections.
