tvN addresses rumors regarding Signal 2 release schedule

The broadcasting network tvN has stated that the release schedule for 'The Second Signal', the sequel to the 2016 mystery-crime drama 'Signal', has not yet been confirmed. This follows media reports suggesting a potential premiere as early as December 7, 2026, after initial rumors of a November 30 release date.

The sequel features returning leads Kim Hye-soo and Lee Je-hoon. The production faced uncertainty following the December 2025 controversy involving actor Cho Jin-woong, who subsequently announced his departure from the entertainment industry. While the drama has completed filming, official details regarding the broadcast date and promotional strategy remain pending from tvN.
