Távoli város series filmed new scenes in Budapest

The Turkish drama series ‘Távoli város’ (Uzak Sehir) has incorporated Hungarian locations into its production. During August 2024, the production crew, including lead actors Ozan Akbaba and Sinem Ünsal, filmed scenes in Budapest, including locations such as the Danube bank and Liberty Bridge.

In the upcoming storyline, the character Alya seeks refuge in Budapest, where she reunites with a former lover. This plot development serves as a central element for the third season of the series.

In Hungary, the series is broadcast on TV2, where recent episodes have focused on character conflicts involving Alya, Sadakat, and Boran. While the second season has concluded its run on Hungarian television, the production continues with new developments involving the characters' movements between Mardin and Budapest.
