TVR journalist Marina Almășan reports project blockage due to administrative crisis

Journalist Marina Almășan has publicly criticized the administrative situation at TVR, stating that a major project intended to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Romanian Television has been blocked. The project, which had been in preparation for three months, was scheduled to debut in one week but has been halted due to legal and administrative issues within the institution.

Following a decision by the Constitutional Court, TVR has been under interim management since September 8, 2026. This has resulted in the absence of a functional Board of Directors. Consequently, funds and sponsorships secured from the private sector for the anniversary production cannot be utilized at this time.

Almășan expressed her frustration on social media, describing the situation as a “power vacuum” that prevents the team from using resources they worked to secure. She noted that the project's launch remains uncertain until the institution's administrative status is resolved.
