TVRI Papua West Presenter Yanto Idorway Dead After Search

Indonesian presenter Yanto Idorway of TVRI Papua West was found dead after a nine‑day search in the Memti waterfall area of Pegunungan Arfak, West Papua. His body was recovered trapped among rocks and later taken to Rumah Sakit Bhayangkara Polda Papua Barat, where forensic doctor Dr. Jimmy Victor John Sembay completed a full autopsy on 30 July 2026.

Samples from the autopsy were sent to the National Police Laboratory (Labfor) in Jakarta for further analysis. Police investigators have collected statements from witnesses, including the victim’s colleagues, local villagers, and the village head, and have seized personal items such as clothing, a jacket, a phone and a vehicle found at the scene. The investigation continues to determine the exact cause of death.
