Twinning Project brings football training to Italian prisons

The Twinning Project, supported by Enel Cuore, is expanding its initiative to bring structured football programs into Italian prisons. The project aims to transform football from a simple recreational activity into a formal educational tool. By utilizing professional coaching methodologies, the program focuses on developing essential life skills such as communication, individual responsibility, cooperation, and conflict management.

As of 2024, the Rebibbia prison in Rome has joined the initiative. The project seeks to leverage sport to foster social reintegration and reduce recidivism rates among the nearly 12,000 people currently incarcerated in Italy.
