Twins in Çorum pursue firefighting careers after childhood house fire

Nineteen-year-old twins Eyüphan and Serdal Bektaş have decided to pursue careers in firefighting following a childhood incident where they accidentally started a house fire while playing with matches. The event motivated them to ensure they could help others in similar situations.

After completing their first year in the Civil Defense and Firefighting Department at Hitit University's Alaca Avni Çelik Vocational School, the brothers have begun summer internships at the Çorum Municipality Fire Department. During their training, they perform routine equipment checks and receive practical instruction from senior firefighters on various duties, including fire suppression, traffic accidents, search and rescue, and animal rescues.
