Twins in Yüksekova earn Science High School placement despite living in unfinished home

Twin brothers Musa and İsa Karaköm, aged 14, have successfully earned placement at Yüksekova Science High School following the High School Transition System (LGS) exams. Despite living in challenging conditions in Ortaç village, the siblings achieved high scores, with İsa receiving 410 points and Musa receiving 395 points.

The Karaköm family resides in a partially completed house that lacks a proper roof and is partially covered with tarpaulin to prevent water leakage. The five-member family shares a single living space for sleeping, eating, and socializing. Without dedicated study rooms or desks, the twins prepared for their exams by studying for five to six hours daily on floor cushions in a corner of their shared living area.

Musa Karaköm expressed his ambition to become a doctor, motivated by his own personal health challenges. İsa Karaköm stated his goal is to become a software engineer. The twins' academic success has been noted as a significant achievement given their difficult living environment.
