Twisha Sharma death case: CBI expands probe, sends accused to judicial custody

Twisha Sharma, a 33‑year‑old model from Noida, was found dead on 12 May 2026 in her matrimonial home in Bhopal. Her family alleges she was subjected to dowry harassment and mental cruelty by her husband, Samarth Singh, and his mother, retired district judge Giribala Singh. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) took over the case, recreating the crime scene at Giribala Singh’s Katara Hills residence using a human‑sized dummy to test the accused’s statements. After a five‑day custodial remand, the CBI produced Samarth and Giribala before a Bhopal court, which ordered a 14‑day judicial custody for both.
