Twist Bioscience stock rises following Eli Lilly partnership

Twist Bioscience saw its stock rise by more than 31% in a single week following the announcement of a new partnership with Eli Lilly. The company has reached an agreement to participate in Lilly TuneLab, an advanced drug discovery initiative.

Under the agreement, Twist Bioscience will provide antibody characterization data services for the program, which includes the use of AbLab, an antibody developability prediction model. TuneLab utilizes artificial intelligence and machine learning, trained on Eli Lilly’s proprietary research data, to allow participants to screen candidate molecules for development.

Twist Bioscience CEO Emily Leproust stated that users can select preferred protocols to generate high-quality data, which helps them efficiently select antibody sequences and contribute data back to TuneLab for federated training.
