Two adolescents in Corrientes begin adoption bonding processes

Two 16-year-old adolescents, Josué and Ángel, have begun the family bonding process following public adoption appeals in Corrientes, Argentina. The Civil, Commercial, Labor, Family, Childhood, and Adolescence Court of Gobernador Valentín Virasoro ordered the start of these proceedings with the intervention of the Corrientes Unique Registry of Applicants for Guardianship for Adoption Purposes (RUACtes).

Josué, who has lived in institutions since age four, has begun a bonding process with a woman residing in Buenos Aires to move toward legal guardianship. Ángel has started a virtual bonding process through daily calls and messages with a woman from El Calafate. Both processes aim to progress toward formal adoption or pre-adoptive guardianship.
