Two Albanian nationals arrested in Italy during ‘The Wanted’ operation

Two Albanian citizens wanted internationally have been arrested in Italy as part of the latest phases of ‘The Wanted’ operation. The arrests were conducted through operational coordination between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Rome.

One of the individuals arrested is 33-year-old Muhamet Bedulla. In 2018, the Court of Korçë sentenced him to 10 years in prison for attempted murder following an incident in 2017 where he stabbed an individual three times. He has approximately three years and four months of his sentence remaining.

The second individual, identified as 26-year-old U. B., faces charges related to the production and sale of narcotics and the illegal possession of weapons and combat ammunition. Authorities reported that he was previously caught selling Cannabis Sativa and was found in possession of significant quantities of ammunition and pistol magazines.

Albanian and Italian authorities are currently proceeding with the legal steps required to extradite both individuals to Albania.
