Two arrested after false alarm at Polish military unit

Two Polish men have been detained following a false alarm at a military unit in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. The incident occurred on Monday, August 31, at approximately 3:00 PM.

The Military Gendarmerie reported that their rapid response and investigative actions successfully eliminated any threat to human life and health. The investigation is being conducted by the Military Gendarmerie unit in Elbląg in cooperation with the Elbląg Municipal Police, under the supervision of the Military Department of the Olsztyn-Południe District Prosecutor's Office.

The suspects face criminal charges under Article 224a § 1 of the Penal Code, which carries a potential prison sentence ranging from six months to eight years.
