Two arrested for alleged extortion in Coronango, Puebla

Municipal police in Coronango arrested Nathalia Andrea “N.” and Arnold Esneyder “N.” for their alleged involvement in an extortion attempt in the San Antonio Mihuacán auxiliary board.

According to police reports, the owners of a commercial establishment called for help after a couple arrived on motorcycles and claimed to be members of a criminal group. The suspects allegedly demanded money for an unpaid debt that the victims stated they had never contracted, using threats against their lives and property to coerce payment.

Following the emergency call, authorities launched a search operation and intercepted the pair at the intersection of Belisario Domínguez Street and Miguel Hidalgo Avenue. During a preventive inspection, officers recovered cash from the suspects' belongings that matched the amount reportedly handed over by the merchants. The individuals have been placed at the disposal of the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) of Puebla for legal processing.
