Two arrested in $150,000 theft from St. Jo Frontier Casino
Two individuals from St. Joseph, Missouri, have been charged with receiving stolen property following a $150,000 theft from the St. Jo Frontier Casino on October 25. Charles E. Blaisdell Jr., 42, and Heaven L. R. Roberts, 21, face Class D felony charges.
The incident involved an alleged impersonation scheme where callers convinced a security supervisor to release the cash. One caller reportedly claimed to be representing FedEx and stated that the casino’s general manager had authorized a pickup. A security supervisor subsequently handed a box containing the money to occupants of a black Jeep Compass.
Following the theft, the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Gaming Division investigated the incident. Authorities utilized a license plate recognition system to identify a connected vehicle, leading to a traffic stop where more than $150,000 in cash was recovered.
