Two arrested in Ishikawa robbery and assault case

Two individuals, a 17-year-old construction worker from Komatsu and 21-year-old Shota Yoshinaga from Hokkaido, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and injury.

Police allege that in February, the suspects and a third accomplice attacked a man in his 20s inside a vehicle parked in a Hakusan City parking lot. The victim was reportedly punched in the face, and 40,000 yen in cash was stolen. Investigators identified the suspects through smartphone analysis related to a separate case. Police are investigating whether the incident stemmed from a dispute between the victim and Yoshinaga, who are reportedly acquaintances.
