Two arrested in murder of Odisha woman after body found in Andhra Pradesh

Police have arrested two men in connection with the murder of 22-year-old Albina Garada, whose semi-decomposed body was recovered from a burial site in Andhra Pradesh. Garada had been missing from the Semiliguda area of Odisha’s Koraput district since July 29.

Investigators identified 35-year-old Mohan Khilla and 19-year-old Milan Kuldeep as the suspects. Authorities believe Khilla killed Garada following a dispute related to their relationship; reports indicate Khilla was already married to two women. Khilla had initially filed a missing person report for Garada on August 1, but police grew suspicious during their investigation.

Acting on information from the suspects, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh police exhumed the body from beneath a tree near Marupalli village in the Gajapathinagaram area of Vizianagaram district. Police seized a vehicle used to transport the body, along with tools used to dig the burial site. The suspects have been remanded in judicial custody.
